These Grilled Asian Sesame Beef Strips are tender, juicy and marinated in a killer sesame soy sauce.

I don’t know about you, but lately it’s been all about the beef. I have been enjoying utilizing the flavors of Asia in my cooking these days.

I have to tell you, when I first decided to make this dish, I was thinking skewers. But, I have this thing about those dang sticks. For one, they burn no mater how much you soak them. Second, we all struggle to get the food off the stick just so we can eat it. And lastly, all we do is throw them away. I have metal ones, but no matter what you skewer, they tend to just spin and don’t stick so well.

That’s when I decided to make these into strips. It grills faster, is easier to eat and less to clean up.

1 pound top sirloin ¼ cup sesame oil ¼ cup vegetable oil ½ cup soy sauce ⅛ cup Sweetener (I used SugarLeaf) ½ Tablespoon garlic salt 4 Tablespoons prepared ginger (comes in a tube or fresh grated ginger) 1 teaspoon dried chili flakes 2 Tablespoons sesame seeds 8 green onions, sliced

Trim the beef tenderloin of any fat and cut into strips Make the marinade by mixing the oils, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger and chili flakes together. Place beef cubes in a bowl, pour the marinade over them and toss to ensure all the beef is coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge for at least one hour to marinate. Grill on medium high for about 6 minutes, flipping halfway through. This will cook the beef to medium rare. Adjust the grill time for suit your desired doneness. Place on a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. 3.3.3077
