Ingredientes

  • 2/3 c. extra virgin olive oil divided
  • 1 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2/3 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 head red cabbage
  • 1 head white cabbage
  • 1 lrg red onion
  • 4 Tbsp. minced fresh basil (or possibly 2 tbspns basil and 2 tbspns fresh oregano
  • 1/2 c. crumbled Gorgonzola cheese

Direcciones

  1. Combine 1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil, soy sauce and minced garlic. Set aside. Combine vinegar, sugar and remaining 1/3 c. extra virgin olive oil. Set aside.
  2. Cut off the base of each cabbage head, remove any damaged outer leaves and cut, through the base, into 1-inch-thick slices. Cut onion into thick slices.
  3. Place cabbage and onion slices on grill and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil-soy sauce mix. Grill over medium-warm coals till tender and just starting to char, about 4 min per side.
  4. Roughly chop or possibly slice grilled cabbage and onion, then combine with vinegar-sugar mix. When ready to serve, toss with basil and gorgonzola.
  5. This recipe yields 10 to 15 servings.
