Receta Grilled Portabello Mushrooms

This is an easy recipe and fantastic substitute for steak. I've added these in strips to fajitas, in bite-sized chunks to lasagna and eaten them instead of steak when I want to have a vegetarian day.

- Using a spoon, scrape the gills (the black "wavy" things inside the mushroom cap) from the mushrooms.
- Melt a half stick of butter and add 1 1/2 tsp of garlic powder (more or less, based on your taste...I love garlic).
- Baste the mushroom caps completely with the melted butter mix.
- Grill whole mushroom caps until tender (time listed is approximate--depends on grill). They will be charred, softened and moist. These taste a lot like a grilled steak, so I love them in my fajitas.
