Receta Grilled Sausages with Peppers in Sweet Chili Sauce
by Manila Spoon

My husband is British as you probably already know especially if you are a regular follower of this blog. That means, like most, Brits, he loves Sausages. So when summer comes, you can be sure we'll be grilling aplenty. Oftentimes, there are left-overs and we love it when that happens! The reason why? This recipe!

Nope, we never throw away cold left-over sausages, brats, hot dogs or what-have-you. Why? Because you can turn them into something so deliciously good and truly enjoyable. I love sweet chili sauce and I often use it not just as a condiment but to flavor our dishes and they perfectly improve the taste of this left-over dish. What's more, this is so easy to make, it's really just a quick stir-fry and once you've done all the prep (which isn't much anyway) then all it takes is 5 minutes to put them all together. And what you have is just a mouth-watering and super-tasty dish that you can't stop eating, well, at least I can't. So enjoy and don't throw away those left-over sausages, brats or hot dogs anymore!

Note: The amount of the ingredients can be adjusted depending on how much left-over sausages or hot dogs you have.

Ingredients

*You can also use Zucchini or a combo.

*Adjust the heat/spice level to your liking. Just taste it before adding it and then determine how spicy you want it to be. I use the bottled Asian sweet chili sauce. Alternatively, you can also you a sweet sour sauce, that works pretty well, too.

Procedure

Heat up a wok or a large frying pan to medium heat. Swirl in the vegetable oil. Add the garlic and onions and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add the sliced grilled sausages and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the peppers (or zucchini or a combo) and cook just until tender-crisp. Season with a little salt and ground pepper, to taste.

Quickly, stir in the sweet chili sauce to coat the sausages and veggies. Cook just until the sauce is heated through. Serve immediately with some freshly cooked rice. Enjoy!
