Ingredientes

  • WASABI MASHED POTATO
  • 4 medium Idaho Potatoes
  • 1/8 cup milk
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons wasabi ( or to taste 0
  • Directions
  • Boil potatoes until fork tender. Drain and whip with remaining ingredients. Keep WARM
  • CARROT GINGER SAUCE
  • 1 pounds carrots, cleaned, coarse chop
  • 1/8 cup shallots, chopped
  • 1/8 cup ginger, chopped
  • 1/8 cup mirin (sweet sake)
  • 1/8 cup sake
  • 2 (6-ounce) tuna steaks
  • Place all ingredients is a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until carrots are tender. Puree in a food processor, and push through a chinois.
  • Soy Glaze
  • 1/8 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese five spice
  • Place in small pan and simmer 4 minutes until thick/syrupy.
  • Assembly: Sear tuna ON a hot grill. Place on a plate and glaze. Surround with carrot ginger sauce and serve with mashed potatoes.
