Ingredientes

  • 2 lb large red potatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. coarsely-grated Gruyere - (abt 6 ounce)
  • 2 lrg Large eggs
  • 2 c. lowfat milk heated just to boili Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degree and butter a 1 1/2-qt gratin or possibly shallow baking dish.
  2. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Peel potatoes and cut into thin slices (about 1/8-inch thick). Add in potatoes to boiling water and par cook for 4 min. Drain potatoes well in a colander.
  3. In gratin or possibly baking dish arrange potatoes, overlapping them, in 3 layers, sprinkling first two layers each with a third of Gruyere and salt and pepper.
  4. In a small bowl whisk Large eggs and add in warm lowfat milk in a stream, whisking. Season mix with salt and pepper and pour proportionately over potatoes. Sprinkle potatoes with remaining cheese and bake 30 min, or possibly till top is golden brown and potatoes are tender.
  5. This recipe yields 2 servings.
