%20is%20celebrated%20by%20Muslims%20all%20over%20the%20world%20to%20commemorate%20the%20willingness%20of%20Hazrat%20Ibrahim%20(%20A.%20S.%20)%20to%20obey%20Allah's%20(%20God's%20)%20command%20to%20sacrifice%20his%20son%20Hazrat%20Ismail%20(%20A.%20S.%20),%20before%20Allah%20intervened%20and%20provide%20Hazrat%20Ibrahim%20(%20A.%20S.%20)%20with%20a%20ram%20to%20sacrifice%20instead.%20Now%20Muslims%20sacrifice%20an%20animal%20(%20usually%20a%20goat%20,%20sheep%20,%20cow%20or%20camel%20)%20every%20year%20during%20Eid-ul-Adha%20to%20keep%20fresh%20the%20memory%20of%20that%20great%20sacrifice.%20The%20meat%20from%20the%20sacrifice%20is%20divided%20into%20three%20equal%20parts;%20one%20third%20for%20the%20family,%20one%20third%20for%20relatives%20/%20friends%20/%20neighbours%20and%20one%20third%20for%20the%20poor%20and%20needy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20Eid%20is%20just%20around%20the%20corner,%20I%20thought%20to%20invite%20few%20bloggers%20friends%20to%20guest%20post%20here%20and%20share%20their%20favorite%20recipes%20for%20Eid-ul-Adha.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToday,%20I'm%20excited%20to%20be%20featuring%20a%20guest%20post%20from%20Lubna%20of%20%22Yummy%20Food%22.%20Most%20of%20you%20would%20be%20already%20familiar%20with%20her%20blog%20which%20is%20full%20of%20delicious%20recipes%20and%20stunning%20pictures.%20When%20I%20requested%20her%20to%20do%20a%20guest%20post%20for%20my%20blog%20with%20some%20traditional%20Eid-ul-Adha%20recipe,%20she%20promptly%20responded%20with%20this%20yummy%20recipe.%20Let's%20see%20what%20she%20has%20to%20share%20with%20us!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAssalamu%20alaikum%20and%20welcome%20to%20the%20lovely%20readers%20of%20Simply%20Sweet%20'n%20Savory.%20It%20is%20my%20immense%20pleasure%20to%20do%20a%20guest%20post%20for%20you%20people.%20When%20Ambreen%20mailed%20me%20to%20write%20about%20a%20traditional%20meat%20recipe%20which%20I%20make%20at%20home%20for%20Eid-ul-Adha%20/%20Bakreed%20/%20Bakrid%20...%20with%20no%20second%20thought%20I%20choose%20these%20Shami%20Kebab%20recipe%20...%20as%20this%20is%20my%20favourite%20recipe%20and%20mostly%20made%20during%20this%20festive%20time%20at%20my%20aunt%E2%80%99s%20place.%20And%20as%20I%20am%20at%20aunt%E2%80%99s%20place%20this%20season,%20I%20thought%20of%20sharing%20this%20recipe%20straight%20from%20her%20kitchen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20during%20this%20festival%20we%20end%20up%20with%20lots%20of%20meat%20at%20home,%20we%20usually%20make%20dry%20kebab%20by%20neatly%20washing%20up%20the%20thin%20strips%20of%20meat%20and%20patting%20dry,%20to%20this%20we%20add%20red%20chili%20powder,%20salt,%20turmeric,%20garam%20masala%20and%20ginger-garlic%20paste.%20Mixing%20it%20all%20well%20with%20the%20meat%20and%20then%20using%20a%20skewer%20we%20hang%20the%20thin%20marinated%20strips%20to%20a%20plastic%20wire.%20We%20hang%20this%20under%20sunlight%20for%202-3%20days%20or%20until%20the%20meat%20is%20dried%20enough%20to%20store%20in%20an%20air%20tight%20containers.%20Meat%20stored%20this%20way%20can%20be%20used%20for%202-3%20months.%20Whenever%20you%20are%20in%20a%20mood%20to%20eat%20meat,%20then%20you%20can%20instantly%20use%20these%20by%20deep%20frying%20in%20oil%20like%20papad%20or%20fryums.%20We%20even%20pack%20this%20for%20long%20distance%20traveling%20friends%20and%20relatives%20who%20are%20moving%20to%20a%20country%20where%20halal%20meat%20is%20rarely%20available.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20remaining%20meat%20is%20minced%20(%20kheema%20)%20and%20stored%20in%20zip-lock%20bags%20in%20freezer%20section%20to%20use%20later.%20Lots%20of%20delicacies%20are%20made%20out%20of%20scarified%20meat,%20some%20of%20them%20are%20Nihari%20(%20Tender%20Lamb%20Bone%20Soup%20)%20,%20Shamiyah%20(%20Flat%20Meat%20Balls%20made%20with%20Minced%20Meat%20)%20,%20Koftoh%20ka%20Khorma%20(%20Spicy%20Minced%20Meat%20balls%20in%20creamy%20Curd%20Gravy%20)%20,%20Gohst%20ka%20Salan%20(%20Lamb%20Meat%20Delicacy%20)%20,%20Kebab%20etc%20....%20The%20recipe%20below%20is%20mostly%20made%20on%20the%20second%20or%20third%20day%20after%20Eid%20to%20use%20up%20most%20of%20the%20minced%20meat.%20This%20shami%20kabab%20is%20served%20with%20hot%20rice%20and%20dal.%20It%20is%20one%20of%20the%20indulging%20and%20most%20comforting%20meals%20....%20I%20must%20say%20....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeef%20Shami%20Kebab%20(%20Minced%20Beef%20Meat%20Cutlets%20)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%20:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreparation%20:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPressure%20cook%20chana%20dal,%20minced%20beef%20meat,%20red%20chilli%20powder,%20turmeric%20powder,%20coconut%20powder,%20green%20chilli,%20ginger-garlic%20paste,%20salt,%20sliced%20onions,%20garam%20masala%20and%20dry%20coconut%20powder%20with%20half%20cup%20of%20water.%20Cook%20till%20dal%20is%20soft%20and%20minced%20beef%20is%20tender.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20water%20is%20still%20remaining%20in%20the%20mixture%20then%20on%20a%20medium%20flame,%20by%20stirring%20cook%20till%20water%20evaporates.%20The%20mixture%20should%20be%20very%20dry.%20Leave%20the%20mixture%20to%20cool%20under%20fan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20grind%20the%
