%20here's%20the%20link%20to%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMango%20Muffins%20with%20Lemon%20Glaze%20(a%20Haitian%20Mango%20Coffee%20Cake%20turned%20Muffin)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHaitian%20Carnitas%20(inspired%20by%20Glazed%20and%20Braised%20Pork%20and%20became%20Carnitas%20with%20a%20Haitian%20influence)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOh...and%20just%20so%20ya%20know....I%20found%20the%20recipe%20for%20these%20very%20tasty%20chicken%20legs%20---%3EHERE%3C---%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20if%20you%20look%20really%20really%20close...you'll%20notice%20that%20I%20only%20changed%201%20teenie%20tiny%20ingredient%20in%20this%20recipe%20(unlike%20the%20other%202)...out%20of%20need!%20A%20personal%20need.%20A%20need%20to%20stay%20away%20from%20all%20things%20thyme%20as%20much%20as%20I%20can.%20Why?%20Well...I%20don't%20like%20it.%20So%20I%20used%20savory%20instead.%20Which%20reminds%20me%20of%20thyme%20(do%20you%20pronounce%20that%20like%20%22time%22%20or%20do%20you%20include%20the%20%22H%22.....?)%20hmmmm....where%20was%20I...Ooooh%20yes...savory%20reminds%20me%20of%20a%20more%20mild%20version%20of%20thyme.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWithout%20further%20ado....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHaitian%20Chicken%20Legs:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20some%20handy%20dandy%20lemon%20and%20line%20squeezers%20(which%20are%20sometimes%20my%20hands).....but%20when%20it%20comes%20to%20oranges,%20that%20requires%20a%20whole%20different%20thing%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20love%20this%20thing!!!%20I%20found%20it%20one%20day%20at...hmmm...Sav-On%20Drugs%20(way%20before%20it%20became%20CVS).%20I%20don't%20remember%20how%20much%20it%20cost.%20I%20have%20a%20feeling%20it%20was%20under%20$10..like%20around%20$7-ish.%20Anyways...I've%20had%20it%20for%20about%2015%20yrs,%20it's%20electrical%20and%20it%20still%20works%20great.%20Why%20don't%20they%20make%20things%20to%20last%20anymore?%20I%20mean....about%205%20yrs%20ago%20I%20bought%20a%20Black%20and%20Decker%20food%20processor%20that%20barely%20lasted%203%20yrs.%20Whats%20up%20with%20that?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20look%20how%20handy%20this%20thing%20is...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20juice%20is%20squeezed,%20seeded%20and%20de-pulped...then%20ready%20to%20pour!%20All%20in%20one%20shot!%20(sung%20in%20soprano%20voice)%20Looooooove%20iiiiit!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow...mix%20all%20your%20ingredients%20together%20in%20a%20nice%20zip%20lock%20bag%20or%20non-reactive%20dish,%20covered....and%20mix%20it%20all%20up.%20%20Oh%20wait...you%20might%20want%20to%20mix%20up%20everything%20except%20the%20chicken....theeen%20add%20the%20chicken%20(it'll%20be%20a%20little%20easier%20that%20way)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMarinate%20the%20chicken%20for%20at%20least%203%20hours.%20Over%20night%20would%20be%20best.%20I%20think%20I%20did%20mine%20for%20about%206%20hours%20though.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrill%20or%20bake%20on%20medium%20high%20until%20cooked%20through.%20I%20baked%20mine%20at%20350'F%20for%20about%2035%20-%2045%20minutes,%20turning%20the%20chicken%20halfway%20through.%20If%20grilling%20them...I%20think%20you're%20suppose%20to%20grill,%20skin%20sides%20down%20for%2010%20minutes%20then%20turn,%20move%20chicken%20to%20the%20cooler%20part%20of%20the%20grill,%20cover%20and%20continue%20grilling%20for%20another%2010%20or%2015%20minutes%20or%20until%20thoroughly%20cooked....or%20what%20ever%20method%20works%20best%20for%20you.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20I%20didn't%20serve%20this%20meal%20with%20the%20traditional%20haitian%20beans%20and%20rice%20and%20such...I%20mean,%20my%20family%20can%20take%20only%20so%20much%20at%20a%20time%20when%20it%20comes%20to%20%22new%22%20stuff.%20Therefore%20I%20just%20had%20a%20simple%20side%20of%20white%20rice%20and%20corn.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20mean...everything%20goes%20with%20white%20rice%20and%20corn,%20right?%20And%20let%20me%20tell%20you....this%20was%20really%20really%20tasty!%20It%20even%20got%20a%20thumbs%20up%20by%20Sir%20Sportsalot,%20who%20is%20sometimes%20not%20into%20%22new%22%20or%20%22improved%22%20things.%20So%20that%20was%20a%20biggy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20submitting%20this%20recipe%20to%20Regional%20Recipes,%20hosted%20by%20Joanne%20at%20Eats%20Well%20With%20Others.%20Regional%20Recipes%20is%20%22a%20blogging%20event%20that%20celebrates%20food%20from%20all%20over%20the%20world!%22%20Her%20deadline%20for%20the%20Haitian%20recipes%20is%20April%2030th,%202010....just%20in%20case%20you%20want%20to%20play%20too%20:)%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
