Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 c. Onion, finely minced
  • 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 sm Red bell pepper, finely minced
  • 1 sm Green bell pepper, finely minced
  • 1 sm Carrot, finely minced
  • 2 slc Prosciutto, finely minced
  • 1 can (16-ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 2 Tbsp. Red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Warm pepper sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Freshly grnd black pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/3 lb Halibut fillet, cut in 4 pcs
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice

Direcciones

  1. In a large (10- to 12-inch) skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add in the onion, garlic, bell peppers and carrot. Cover the pan and cook 10 min, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in the minced prosciutto, tomatoes, bay leaf, vinegar, paprika, warm pepper sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, 5 min.
  3. Place the halibut pcs in the pan, spoon some of the sauce over. Cover the pan and cook 12 min per inch of thickness, or possibly till the fish tests done.
  4. Sprinkle the dish with lemon juice and serve.
