Ingredientes

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 3 ounce lowfat milk Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 8 ounce butter
  • 1 lrg yellow onion cut medium dice
  • 1 head savoy cabbage cut medium dice
  • 2 Tbsp. Hungarian paprika
  • 12 ounce julienne smoked ham

Direcciones

  1. Mix flour, Large eggs and lowfat milk and season with salt and pepper, mix by hand till incorporated making sure not to over-mix. Place in the refrigerator covered and let rest for 1 hour.
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, cut penny-size dumplings into water by hand and let boil for 5 min. Strain dumplings and set aside.
  3. Heat butter in a large pan, add in onions and cook till translucent/soft, add in cabbage and paprika and cook till tender. Toss with dumplings and smoked ham and serve.
  4. This recipe yields 12 servings.
