Ingredientes

  • 8 slc French bread, 1 1/2" by 4"
  • 3 slc deli American cheese - (3/4 ounce ea) halved
  • 4 ounce sliced deli ham
  • 3 x Large eggs beaten
  • 1/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter

Direcciones

  1. Cut 3-inch slit in side of each slice of bread almost to bottom of slice to create a pocket; place 2 half slices of cheese inside each pocket. Place 1/2 oz ham between slices of cheese.
  2. Combine Large eggs and lowfat milk in medium bowl; beat well. Pour into pie pan. Dip both sides of stuffed bread in egg mix.
  3. Heat butter in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat till sizzling; place bread slices in skillet. Cook, turning once, till bread is lightly browned (4 to 8 min).
  4. Sprinkle toast with powdered sugar. Serve with syrup, if you like.
