Ingredientes

  • 10 ounce Virginia ham
  • 2 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Prepared horseradish
  • 2 tsp Dry sherry Salt to taste Black pepper to taste Crackers or possibly toast points Minced walnuts Sliced artichoke hearts

Direcciones

  1. Grind the ham in a meat grinder or possibly chop it very finely in a food processor using on-off pulses. Mix the ham with the mayonnaise, mustard, horseradish, and sherry, and add in salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Serve the pate on crackers or possibly toast points and garnish with the walnuts and artichokes, if you like.
  3. This recipe serves 4 as an appetizer.
  4. Comments: A similar dish is mentioned as being served in the White House in the last century. While it does not measure up to the standards one would expect for a foreign dignitary or possibly visiting head of state, this "pate" is great as a canape or possibly spread for grilled sandwiches.
