%20Its%20always%20a%20challenge%20for%20me%20though%20because%20I%20really%20don't%20have%20an%20Irish%20heritage%20or%20even%20many%20green%20things%20in%20my%20house.%20So%20I%20like%20to%20turn%20it%20into%20a%20kind%20of%20Green%20scavenger%20hunt.%20Be%20sure%20and%20check%20out%20all%20of%20the%20other%20fun%20posts%20at%20Kathleens.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20better%20place%20to%20hunt%20for%20GREEN%20than%20the%20Northwest%20Flower%20and%20Garden%20Show%20in%20Seattle.%20There%20was%20a%20%22Once%20Upon%20a%20Time%22%20theme%20and%20the%20Wind%20in%20the%20Willows%20display%20had%20some%20really%20interesting%20glass%20green%20grasses.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20fell%20in%20love%20with%20this%20cute%20little%20green%20moss%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAt%20the%20Alice%20in%20Wonderland%20exhibit,%20Alice%20found%20a%20nice%20grassy%20green%20lawn%20chair%20to%20sit%20on!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20about%20some%20beautiful%20green%20orchids?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVertical%20growing%20was%20seen%20in%20several%20of%20the%20exhibits.%20Green%20growing%20up!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20this%20is%20taking%20%22Going%20Green%22%20to%20a%20whole%20new%20limit.%20I%20wonder%20if%20there%20is%20a%20putting%20green%20on%20the%20roof?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20loved%20these%20lush%20green%20steps%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EApart%20from%20the%20fantastic%20display%20gardens%20there%20was%20a%20lot%20of%20fantastic%20window%20shopping%20and%20plenty%20of%20cool%20green%20things.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'd%20love%20to%20have%20one%20of%20these%20washed%20green%20figures%20on%20my%20garden%20fence%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMore%20green%20glass%20-%20this%20time%20bamboo%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20fat%20funny%20green%20leaves%20seemed%20to%20be%20a%20big%20attraction%20at%20the%20Monrovia%20display%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20were%20even%20green%20houses%20on%20display.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20big%20green%20ball%20was%20a%20great%20find%20on%20my%20scavenger%20hunt%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20this%20green%20gate..which%20was%20part%20of%20the%20gate%20competition%20would%20be%20beautiful%20leading%20into%20an%20Irish%20cottage%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMore%20green%20glass...this%20one%20a%20fountain%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20tempted%20to%20bring%20this%20green%20flutterby%20back%20to%20my%20garden%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAhhh%20now%20we're%20getting%20really%20warm%20or..er...green!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20finally%20I%20found%20the%20green%20prize...sending%20a%20virtual%20one%20to%20Kathleen%20for%20being%20such%20a%20fantastic%20host.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20I%20always%20have%20great%20intentions%20of%20doing%20an%20Irish%20spread%20or%20setting%20a%20beautiful%20green%20table,%20but%20somehow%20my%20big%20plans%20never%20quite%20pan%20out.%20So%20instead%20of%20the%20whole%20shabang%20we%20get%20a%20few%20wee%20bits%20o'%20green%20from%20my%20kitchen%20and%20a%20tiny%20leprechaun%20of%20a%20table%20setting%20for%20two.%20I%20was%20going%20for%20kind%20of%20a%20Green%20with%20a%20pot%20of%20gold%20at%20the%20end%20of%20a%20Rainbow%20kind%20of%20thing.%20What%20I%20ended%20up%20with%20was%20a%20bit%20of%20a%20mess%20lol!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20tried%20my%20hand%20at%20a%20green%204%20leaf%20clover%20napkin%20and%20learned%20a%20couple%20of%20things.%20Square%20napkins%20are%20not%20always%20square%20and%20its%20looks%20a%20lot%20easier%20on%20the%20video!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20saw%20this%20bouquet%20at%20the%20grocery%20store%20and%20fell%20in%20love%20with%20the%20little%20green%20mums%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20exact%20same%20color%20green%20as%20the%20inside%20of%20my%20new%20rainbow%20bowls%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUnder%20everything%20is%20my%20Mom's%20tablecloth%20that%20I%20confiscated%20when%20she%20brought%20it%20out%20for%20my%20wedding.%20Please%20pardon%20the%20dark%20photo.%20It%20is%20really%20a%20lot%20lighter%20cream%20than%20shown%20below..see%20above!%20Plus%20green%20leaves!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20finally%20the%20Pot%20of%20Gold%20along%20with%20two%20cute%20green%20grass%20patterned%20glasses%20I%20found%20at%20Goodwill.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20Green%20Food%20Contributions...hardly%20Irish,%20but%20Green%20none%20the%20less.%20How%20about%20a%20pot%20of%20green%20and%20gold%20otherwise%20known%20as%20Mangoes%20and%20Kiwi!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20planning%20on%20doing%20an%20avocado%20dressing%20and%20salad,%20but%20when%20I%20peeled%20this%20smooth%20skinned%20Bacon%20Avocado%20it%20was%20so%20creamy%20and%20good%20I%20ate%20it%20at%20the%20counter%20as%20fast%20as%20I%20could%20slice%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20next%20Green%20from%20my%20kitchen%20is%20about%20as%20close%20to%20Irish%20as%20I%20made%20it%20this%20go%20round%20and%20that's%20only%20because%20I%20had%20some%20Guiness%20left%20over%20from%20last%20year...Beer%20Braised%20Collard%20Greens%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20greens%20cooked%20up%20really%20yummy%20though.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInspired%20by%20recipe%20found%20HERE%20at%20Budget%20Bytes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20all%20ingredients%20to%20a%20large%20pot%20and%20allow%20to%20come%20to%20boil%20with%20lid%20on.%20Once%20boiling%20stir%20will%20and%20reduce%20heat%20to%20low.%20Simmer%20until%20greens%20are%20desire%20tenderness.%20Collards%20can%20cook%20for%20a%20very%20long%20time%20without%20getting%20mushy.%20Mine%20went%20for%202%20hours%20but%20would%20have%20been%20good%20well%20before%20that.%20Stir%20every%2015%20mins%20or%20so.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20finally%20my%20crowning%20GREEN%20Glory....GREEN%20GOOK%20(also%20known%20as%20Watergate%20Salad).%20I'm%20not%20sure%20if%20anyone%20else%20calls%20it%20Green%20Gook.%20I%20think%20my%20family%20made%20that%20up%20lol.%20This%20was%20a%20staple%20with%20Sunday%20dinners%20at%20my%20family%20when%20I%20was%20growing%20up.%20Some%20versions%20call%20for%20marshmallows.%20We%20mostly%20skipped%20that.%20Its%20been%20years%20since%20I've%20had%20it%20and%20I%20have%20been%20thoroughly%20enjoying%20it!%20It's%20not%20the%20prettiest%20dish,%20but%20it%20certainly%20is%20Green!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGreen%20Gook%20-%20found%20on%20the%20Pistachio%20Jello%20Instant%20Pudding%20box%20&%20suited%20to%20my%20taste%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20can%20(20%20oz.)%20DOLE%20Crushed%20Pineapple,%20in%20juice,%20undrained%20%20%20%20%20%20%201%20pkg.%20(3.4%20oz.)%20JELL-O%20Pistachio%20Flavor%20Instant%20Pudding%20%20%20%20%20%201%20cup%20chopped%20PLANTERS%20Pecans%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%201-1/2%20cups%20thawed%20COOL%20WHIP%20Whipped%20Topping%20or%20equal%20amount%20of%20whipped%20cream%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20all%20ingredients.%20Stir%20well.%20Refrigerate%20for%201%20hour%20before%20serving%20or%20eat%20it%20right%20away%20like%20me.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKathleen...sending%20thanks%20for%20being%20such%20a%20great%20friend%20and%20hostess.%20It%20was%20another%20fun%20time%20this%20year!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAn%20Irish%20Prayer%20%20May%20God%20give%20you%20%20For%20every%20storm,%20a%20rainbow,%20%20For%20every%20tear,%20a%20smile,%20%20For%20every%20care,%20a%20promise,%20%20And%20a%20blessing%20in%20each%20trial.%20%20For%20every%20problem%20life%20sends,%20%20A%20faithful%20friend%20to%20share,%20%20For%20every%20sigh,%20a%20sweet%20song,%20%20And%20an%20answer%20for%20each%20prayer.%20%20%20May%20the%20strength%20of%20God%20pilot%20us,%20%20May%20the%20wisdom%20of%20God%20instruct%20us,%20%20May%20the%20hand%20of%20God%20protect%20us,%20%20May%20the%20word%20of%20God%20direct%20us.%20%20Be%20always%20ours%20this%20day%20and%20forever%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20having%20a%20Great%20Cooking%20Magazine%20Challenge%20this%20weekend%20on%20Sunday%20March%2020th.%20Please%20join%20me%20with%20your%20magazine%20clipping%20inspired%20recipes!%20See%20this%20LINK%20for%20earlier%20events.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20also%20joining%20in%20for%20Table%20Top%20Tuesday%20&%20Janmary's%20St.%20Patrick's%20Day%20Bloggy%20Carnival.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
