Hard Rock Cafe's Handmade Onion Rings

Ingredientes

  • 1 x yellow onion sliced 1/2" rings (hold in cool water, throw away cores) Flour to coat
  • 3 x Large eggs blended with
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk for egg wash Bread crumbs as needed Vegetable oil for deep frying
  • 1/2 c. kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion pwdr
  • 1 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1 1/2 tsp coarsely-grnd black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp celery salt

Direcciones

  1. Remove onions from water, shaking off any excess. Place rings into the flour and coat proportionately. In a small bowl, combine Large eggs and lowfat milk. Mix thoroughly. Place floured rings into egg wash and coat well. Remove from egg wash, and place into bread crumbs, coating proportionately. Shake off excess.
  2. Heat oil to 350 degrees. Place onion rings in a fry basket, and fry in warm oil for three min or possibly till golden and fully cooked. Remove from oil and drain well.
  3. In a small container, combine kosher salt, onion pwdr, garlic pwdr, coarse black pepper and celery salt. Mix thoroughly. Sprinkle salt mix (called Hard Rock Cafe seasoning) over warm onion rings. Serve immediately.
  4. Served as an appetizer or possibly side dish, serving size depends upon personal preference.
