- Cook together oatmeal, all bran, shredded wheat and boiling water in a heavy pan till it is a paste consistency. Set aside.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl. Add in the Large eggs one at a time. Blend in buttermilk.
- Blend together flour, soda, salt, buttermilk, dates and nuts with the sugar mix. Add in the paste mix. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 min.
