Herbed Cheese Loaf

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon mustard pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon snipped fresh chives
  • 1 tbsp. minced parsley
  • 3 ounce. mature cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. butter, melted
  • Onion (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Grease a 1 lb. loaf tin. Sift the flour, salt and mustard into a bowl and stir in the herbs and cheese. Add in the egg, water and melted butter and stir till well blended with a wooden spoon. Spoon into the loaf tin and bake at 375 degrees for 45 min. Turn out and cold on a wire rack for about 1 hour. Serve sliced and buttered while hot. 1 loaf.
