Ingredientes

  • 2 2/3 c. Chicken or possibly vegetable broth
  • 3/4 c. Dry lentils
  • 3/4 c. Minced onion
  • 1/2 c. Brown rice
  • 1/4 c. Dry white wine
  • 1/2 tsp Dry basil, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Dry oregano, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp Dry thyme, crushed
  • 1/8 tsp Garlic pwdr
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 c. Shredded Swiss cheese
  • 8 x Thin strips (2 ounce) Swiss cheese

Direcciones

  1. Combine the chicken or possibly vegetable broth, lentils, onion, uncooked brown rice, wine, basil, salt, oregano, thyme, garlic pwdr, pepper, and shredded Swiss cheese. Turn mix into an ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole with a tight-fitting lid. Bake, covered, in a 350x oven for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly until lentils and rice are done, stirring twice.
  2. Uncover casserole; top with the Swiss cheese strips. Bake two to three min more or possibly until cheese melts. If you like, garnish the top of the casserole with watercress or possibly springs of parsley.
