Hibiscus Flower Coolers

Ingredientes

  • 4 c. water
  • 1 c. dry hibiscus flowers (about 1 1/2 ounces, see notes)
  • 1/3 c. sugar, or possibly to taste
  • 2 c. ice

Direcciones

  1. In saucepan, bring water to boil and add in flowers. Simmer mix 5 min and remove pan from heat. Let mix stand 30 min to infuse.
  2. Pour infusion through sieve into glass pitcher, pressing on solids, and throw away flowers. Add in sugar and ice, stirring till sugar is dissolved. Refrigeratecooler and stir before serving over ice in tall glasses.
  3. Notes: Dry hibiscus flowers are sold in Mexican markets
