Receta Homemade Curry Powder
Homemade Curry Powder Recipe
Curry Powder is a fragrant blend of various spices used in a number of dishes.
Ingredients:
- Cinnamon – 2 inch pieces, broken
- Coriander Seeds – 3 tblsp
- Cumin Seeds – 2 tblsp
- Fenugreek – 2 tsp
- Cloves – 10 to 12
- Cardamoms – 10 to 12
- Black Peppercorns – 2 tsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 cup
- Ginger Powder – 1/4 cup
- Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Method:
1. Heat a nonstick frying pan over medium flame.
2. Fry the cinnamon, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, cardamoms and fenugreek for 3 to 4 minutes.
3. Remove and grind them together with black peppercorns.
4. Transfer to a container.
5. Add the ginger powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
6. Mix well and close with a tight lid.
7. Use as required.
8. This stays good for 2 to 3 months.
