Homemade "Jewish" Chicken Soup

Ingredientes

  • Pcs of chicken (4) (breasts, legs, thighs, wings)
  • 1 sweet potato, skinned & diced (lg. pcs)
  • 1 turnip, diced
  • 2 carrots
  • 3-4 parsnips, skinned & diced
  • 1 lg. onion
  • Dill weed

Direcciones

  1. Place chicken in large pot. Sprinkle vegetables around chicken. Add in water to cover chicken (3/4 of pot full). Add in salt and pepper to taste. Add in dill weed (about 1 Tbsp.). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cook for 2 hrs (or possibly more). (Minimum cooking time not more than 3 hrs. For excellent flavor, 2 hrs.)
  2. Boil up some egg noodles or possibly other thin variety, separately and add in to soup. Guaranteed to cure all ills.
