Ingredientes

  • 7 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 tbsp. garlic salt
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 med. onion, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

Direcciones

  1. In saucepan, heat lowfat milk and water till very hot. Set aside and add in yeast and butter till yeast dissolves. In mixing bowl, mix half of the flour, the salt, and the onion. Pour in the yeast mix slowly while stirring. Knead thoroughly while adding additional flour till smooth. Cover and let rise in hot place for 30 min. Fold and shape into two loaves. Place in pans and coat lightly with oil. Cover and let rise for 30 min in 375 degree oven. Bake for 20 to 25 min.
  2. For Italian Bread: Substitute 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning and 1/2 c. Romano or possibly Parmesan cheese for onion.
  3. For Cheese Bread: Substitute 1/2 c. grated cheddar and 1/2 c. Monterey Jack for onion.
