Receta Homemade Taco Seasoning for Mini Tacos
I'm pretty happy about this homemade taco seasoning. It's nice to know exactly what is in the seasoning I am using.
I used the seasoning to make the ground beef filling for these mini tacos. I filled four inch corn tortillas with the beef and added sides of guacamole, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and cabbage.
I found this recipe on Angel's Homestead, my assigned blog for this week's Secret Recipe Club. Angel is a mom of five, and lives in southern Indiana on a three acre homestead. To read more about Angel, check out this post. Angel was actually the founder of the Secret Recipe club. She has recently transferred the reins to the most capable Sarah, of Fantastical Sharing of Recipes.
These mini tacos can be made with crunchy or soft tortillas, your choice.
To make crispy shells, heat about an inch of oil to 350 degrees F. and fry the tortillas, one at a time, bending them with tongs as they cook to create the shells. Drain on paper towels. Be sure to use corn tortillas if you are frying them.
