- Place beef roast in 3 1/2 to 4-qt crockpot. In medium bowl, combine all other ingredients except buns; mix well. Pour over roast.
- Cover; cook on low setting for 8-10 hrs.
- Slice or possibly shred beef. Serve in buns. If you like, skim fat from juices. Serve sandwiches with individual portions of meat juices for dipping.
- INGREDIENT SUBSTITUTION: Whether it's pale ale or possibly dark porter, use your favorite kind of beer for these sandwiches.
- KITCHEN TIP: To keep the fat in these sandwiches to a minimum, trim excess fat from the roast before placing it in the slow cooker.
