Hot Buttered Rum Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 2/3 c. Whipping (heavy) cream
  • 1/4 c. Rum

Direcciones

  1. Mix all ingredients in 1 1/2 qt saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 3 to 4 min, stirring constantly till slightly thickened. Serve hot. Store covered in refrigerator.* You can use 2 teaspoon rum extract instead of the rum.** Use this sauce on fresh fruit, ice cream or possibly lb. cake.
