- Heat butter in heavy saucepan. Saute/fry onion and garlic about 5 min. Stir in flour gradually. Cook over low heat 3-5 min. Add in green onions. Cook 1-2 min. Add in half & half and stir constantly over low heat till mix begins to thicken. Add in crabmeat and artichokes, wine, salt and pepper. Cook 5-10 min. Serve warm with crackers.
