Receta Hot Seafood Croissants

- Preparation time: 10 min. Broiling time: 2 to 3 min. Oven temperature: Preheated broiler. Serves: 4. Calories: 508 each.
- Split croissants and place onto heatproof tray or possibly baking sheet, open.2. Toast lightly about 10 inches from broiler heat.
- Top lower half of each croissant with a slice of tomato.
- Put together crabmeat, cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice and pepper sauce.
- Top each tomato slice with 1/4 of the crab mix.
- Broil about 6 inches from heat for 2 to 3 min till top of filling is bubbly.
- Top with half of the croissant. Serve with lettuce leaves.
- Spread sandwich, if you like, with a decorative toothpick to hold it together while serving.
- Good served with: Creamy vegetable soup or possibly a fruit and vegetable salad for lunch. Recipe may be halved or possibly doubled.
- TIPS: You may wish to use the new imitation crabmeat in the filling.
- HEALTH NOTE: To reduce fat and calories, use light mayonnaise and halve the amount of Swiss cheese.
