%20to%20lower%20this%20safely%20into%20the%20oil.Lower%20this%20very%20carefully%20as%20the%20oil%20can%20spill%20over,%20splash%20and%20can%20be%20very%20dangerous,%20never%20ever%20use%20a%20frozen%20Turkey%20there%20is%20way%20to%20much%20ice%20and%20water%20in%20it,%20the%20splash%20could%20be%20very%20dangerous.%20We%20used%20a%20fresh%20Turkey%20and%20took%20it%20out%20of%20the%20refrigerator%20for%20around%201/2%20hour%20while%20waiting%20for%20the%20oil%20to%20heat%20to%20350F%20degrees.Preparation%20is%20very%20important%20getting%20the%20oil%20heated%20to%20350F%20degrees,%20%20if%20it's%20not%20hot%20enough%20oil%20the%20turkey%20will%20be%20greasy%20and%20not%20cook%20evenly.Slowly%20lower%20the%20turkey%20into%20the%20oil.%20Very%20slow.I%20was%20a%20wreck%20worried%20we%20would%20need%20a%20back%20up%20plan,%20boy%20was%20I%20wrong!%20My%20husband%20was%20so%20sure%20of%20himself%20and%20confident%20he%20was%20going%20to%20Ace%20this%20one!%20%20I%20should%20have%20had%20more%20faith%20in%20him!%20Since%20this%20was%20his%20first%20time,%20I%20felt%20lost%20not%20being%20in%20the%20kitchen%20this%20year%20and%20allowing%20them%20to%20both%20take%20over%20for%20the%20holiday....%20After%20this%20experience,%20I%20am%20loving%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20know%20fried%20foods%20aren't%20healthy!%20But%20this%20was%20our%20first%20time%20trying%20out%20fried%20turkey..%20and%20wow,%20was%20I%20impressed.%20This%20was%20juicy,%20flavorful,%20and%20like%20a%20huge%20chicken%20wing%20....only%20thing%20missing%20was%20hot%20sauce%20(%20smile).%20Of%20course,%20everything%20in%20moderation,%20I%20wouldn't%20eat%20this%20amazing%20bird%20everyday%20but%20I%20have%20to%20tell%20you,%20it%20was%20nothing%20like%20I%20expected.%20I%20thought%20it%20would%20be%20greasy%20and%20flavorless.%20However,%20after%20talking%20to%20several%20fried%20turkey%20lovers,%20I%20found%20out%20that%20the%20best%20way%20to%20prepare%20this%20was%20injection,%20marinading%20for%20three%20days,%20then%20deep%20fried%20perfection%20is%20in%20your%20future.%20Just%20an%20amazing%20taste!~%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20food%20processor%20place%203%20minced%20cloves%20of%20garlic,%201%20teaspoon%20peanut%20oil%20or%20sesame%20oil,%20olive%20oil,%20butter,%20soy%20sauce%20and%20paprika.%20When%20butter%20has%20melted.%20This%20mixture%20is%20used%20to%20inject%20the%20turkey%20before%20frying.%20%20Two%20ounces%20per%20pound%20of%20turkey.%20Inject%20the%20turkey%20about%205%20inches%20apart,%20having%20the%20injector%20go%20in%20different%20directions%20several%20times%20for%20each%20hole%20made.%20the%20turkey.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20there%20is%20a%20removeable%20pop-up%20timer%20in%20your%20turkey%20take%20it%20out%20and%20throw%20it%20away.%20I%20use%20a%20roasting%20disposable%20pan%20to%20place%20the%20turkey%20with%20marinade%20injection%20in%20and%20refrigerate%20overnight,%20up%20to%20two%20days%20if%20you%20want%20too,%20you%20can%20also%20use%20a%20large%20bag%20as%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFrying%20the%20Turkey:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThirty%20minutes%20before%20cooking,%20remove%20the%20turkey%20from%20the%20refrigerator%20and%20let%20sit%20at%20room%20temperature.%20Bring%20the%20oil%20temperature%20to%20350F%20degrees.%20Pat%20the%20turkey%20dry%20with%20a%20clean%20towel.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPut%20the%20turkey%20in%20the%20frying%20basket,%20breast%20side%20(neck%20end)%20facing%20down.%20With%20a%20hot%20mitt%20covered%20hand,%20stand%20away%20from%20the%20oil%20using%20the%20method%20above%20and%20carefully%20lower%20the%20turkey%20into%20the%20cooker.%20Allow%20the%20oil%20temperature%20%20to%20stay%20consistant%20heat%20at%20350F%20and%20continue%20frying,%20allowing%203%201/2%20minutes%20per%20pound%20%20this%20is%20what%20was%20recommended.%20Our%2014%20pound%20Turkey%20took%2045%20minutes%20to%20cook.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20bought%20our%20%20peanut%20oil%20at%20a%20%20local%20big%20box%20style%20warehouse%20%20store,%20pour%20up%20to%20the%20line%20on%20the%20inside%20of%20your%20turkey%20fryer%20(or%20see%20your%20manufacturer's%20instructions%20for%20recommended%20quantity%20of%20oil).%20Please%20make%20sure%20there%20is%20no%20water%20or%20ice%20on%20this%20turkey%20for%20safety%20of%20exploding%20in%20the%20oil%20with%20water%20or%20ice.%20Again%20this%20turkey%20%20is%20fresh,%20not%20frozen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20turkey%20will%20turn%20a%20deep%20brown%20when%20done%20and%20will%20be%20crisp.%20The%20temperature%20in%20the%20thickest%20portion%20of%20a%20thigh%20should%20read%20175%20F%20using%20a%20meat%20thermometer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20the%20turkey%20to%20a%20clean%20large%20Turkey%20pan.%20Then%20allow%20it%20to%20cool,%20a%20few%20minutes%20before%20slicing.%20That%20didn't%20happen%20here!%20They%20ate%20this%20bird%20so%20fast,%20I%20have%20never%20had%20a%20whole%20Turkey%20eaten%20that%20quick~%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20don't%20think%20my%20son%20wanted%20to%20give%20up%20this%20beautiful%20turkey,%20he%20got%20%20crazy%20eyes%20while%20
