Receta How to Freeze Whole Strawberries
How to Freeze Whole Strawberries
Strawberry Season will be here soon and I love to freeze strawberries whole. They freeze great and I can always find a way to use them. Over the weekend, I was at our local grocery store and they happened to have a nice sale on strawberries; 3-16 oz containers for $4.00. They looked wonderful~ It is still cold and rainy here, with snow on the ground, and our lake is still frozen. I thought, It's going to be a long time before I can hop in the car and go "pick my own" strawberries, so for that price, I might as well pick some up!
Easy Directions:
Strawberries, washed, hulled and patted dry.
Place clean strawberries, flat side down, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place strawberries in the freezer and freeze until firm. About 2 hours.
When strawberries are frozen, remove from freezer and place in a large ziplock freezer bag.
- Enjoy! Note: You can also freeze Blackberries and Raspberries in this same way:)
