Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sm onion, minced
  • 2 x to 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 c. canned garbanzo beans
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
  • 1 x to 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 x to 3 Tbsp. tahini (a thick paste made from grnd sesame seeds)

Direcciones

  1. Split pita bread and cut into triangles, spread with butter, sprinkle with sesame seeds and broil a few min. Serve with hummus.
  2. Heat extra virgin olive oil in a skillet, and saute/fry onion and garlic till soft and transparent. Rinse garbanzo beans with cool water and drain. Place all ingredients in a blender or possibly food processor, and puree till the consistency resembles which of mayonnaise.
