%20%22I%20LOVE%20when%20my%20husband%20goes%20away%22%20So,%20here%20I%20will%20tell%20you%20a%20secret...%20I%20DON'T.%20I%20hate%20it.%20He%20is%20my%20best%20friend%20and%20I%20hate%20when%20he%20goes%20away.%20I%20don't%20like%20it%20at%20all.%20So%20what%20have%20I%20been%20doing%20while%20the%20good%20Dr.%20Food%20has%20been%20away?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20started%20off%20with%20me%20coming%20up%20with%20an%20idea%20for%20%22Chai%20Masala%20Pumpkin%20Pie%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBesides%20the%20fact%20that%20it%20wouldn't%20bake%20and%20besides%20the%20fact%20that%20the%20crust%20wasn't%20too%20good%20and%20besides%20the%20fact%20that%20I%20hate%20Pumpkin%20Pie,%20THIS%20was%20really%20good.%20Ugly%20(and%20I%20don't%20know%20how%20it%20got%20the%20bloop%20on%20top%20of%20it%20that%20looks%20like%20someone%20stuck%20their%20hand%20in%20it)%20but%20good.%20I%20am%20going%20to%20give%20it%20another%20try.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20is%20this?%20This%20is%20the%20picture%20that%20Dr.%20Food%20sent%20me%20from%20the%20SUITE%20that%20he%20was%20staying%20in%20while%20in%20India.%20Awwww,%20poor%20Dr.%20Food.%20His%20suite%20(which%20he%20gave%20me%20a%20tour%20of%20over%20Skype)%20was%203%20rooms%20with%20a%20bar%20and%20a%20bathroom%20that%20was%20amazing.%20They%20left%20this%20on%20his%20bed%20while%20he%20was%20out%20to%20dinner%20with%20a%20bunch%20of%20people%20that%20were%20trying%20to%20smooze%20him.%20Meanwhile%20this%20was%20me...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*I*%20ate%20GrUEl.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20between%20being%20taunted%20by%20Dr.%20Food%20and%20eating%20gruel,%20I%20made%20another%20apple%20pie.%20This%20time%20it%20was%20without%20the%20help%20of%20Jon%20Rowley.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20still%20having%20an%20%22issue%22%20with%20the%20crust%20but%20I%20will%20practice%20until%20I%20get%20it%20right.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20I%20did%20it%20with%20no%20help.%20It%20wasn't%20as%20much%20fun%20but%20I%20believe%20using%20both%20hands%20(not%20holding%20the%20phone%20in%20one)%20this%20pie%20came%20out%20even%20better%20than%20the%20first.%20I%20also%20found%20volunteers%20to%20eat%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20I%20was%20bored%20and%20wanted%20to%20cook.%20I%20wanted%20to%20try%20something%20out%20of%20the%20book%20%22Cooking%20my%20way%20Back%20Home%22%20by%20Mitchell%20Rosenthal.%20I%20chose%20to%20make%20Quattro%20Fromaggi%20with%20Butternut%20Squash%20and%20Sage.%20Sounds%20healthy%20no?%20It%20wasn't.%20It%20was%20mac%20and%20cheese%20(and%20by%20cheese%20I%20mean%204%20different%20kinds)%20with%20butternut%20squash.%20I%20only%20ate%20the%20squash...no%20really.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20dish%20was%20really%20good%20and%20I%20can't%20wait%20to%20try%20the%20other%20stuff%20in%20this%20cookbook.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOh,%20and%20I%20also%20made%20Kimchi...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20given%20this%20recipe%20before.%20It%20is%20Kimchi%20Mom's%20recipe.%20I%20love%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk,%20I%20need%20to%20go%20make%20another%20batch%20of%20Gruel.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPenne%20Pasta%20Quattro%20Formaggi%20with%20Butternut%20Squash%20and%20Sage%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20by%20Mitch%20Rosenthal%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20375%C2%B0F.%20Place%20the%20squash%20in%20a%20bowl,%20drizzle%20with%20the%202%20tablespoons%20of%20oil,%20sprinkle%20with%20the%20sage,%20and%20toss%20to%20coat%20evenly.%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper%20and%20toss%20again.%20Spread%20in%20a%20single%20layer%20on%20a%20sheet%20pan,%20place%20in%20the%20oven,%20and%20roast%20for%2015%20to%2020%20minutes,%20or%20until%20tender.%20Remove%20from%20the%20oven%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBring%20a%20large%20pot%20filled%20with%20salted%20water%20to%20a%20boil.%20Add%20the%20penne,%20stir,%20and%20cook%20until%20al%20dente,%20according%20to%20package%20directions.%20Drain%20into%20a%20colander%20and%20hold%20under%20cold%20running%20water%20to%20stop%20the%20cooking.%20Transfer%20to%20a%20large%20bowl,%20drizzle%20with%20the%20remaining%20tablespoon%20of%20oil,%20and%20toss%20to%20coat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20cheese%20sauce,%20in%20a%20saucepan,%20melt%20the%20butter%20over%20low%20heat.%20Whisk%20in%20the%20flour,%20then%20whisk%20constantly%20for%203%20to%204%20minutes%20to%20cook%20away%20the%20raw%20flour%20taste.%20Slowly%20add%20the%20milk%20and%20cream,%20whisking%20constantly%20to%20prevent%20lumps%20from%20forming.%20Raise%20the%20heat%20to%20medium%20and%20simmer,%20stirring%20occasionally,%20for%20about%2015%20minutes,%20or%20until%20reduced%20by%20a%20third.%20Remove%20from%20the%20heat,%20add%20all%20of%20the%20cheeses,%20and%20stir%20until%20melted.%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper%20and%20set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20topping,%20cut%20off%20and%20discard%20the%20crusts%20from%20the%20bread%20slices,%20then%20cut%20the%20slices%20into%20cubes.%20Place%20the%20cubes%20in%20a%20food%20processor%20and%20pulse%20until%20fine%20crumbs%20form.%20Transfer%20to%20a%20bowl,%20add%20the%20oil,%20a
