%20Did%20you%20know%20that%20that%20Anne%20chick%20looks%20like%20she%20could%20be%20his%20sister?%20Omg...what%20if%20it's%20HIM!!!%20Dressed%20like%20a%20woman!%20Holy%20cow...I%20need%20another%20shot!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20I%20can't%20see%20straight%20so%20there's%20noooooo%20way%20I'm%20gonna%20be%20following%20the%20rules%20on%20this%20thing.%20Shooo%20%20happy%20their%20aint%20no%20police%20in%20the%20kitchen!%20I'd%20be%20getting%20a%20CUI%20for%20shure%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20Tortilla%20Soup%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E**Warning**%20There%20are%20a%20ton%20of%20ingredients%20and%20a%20few%20steps....but%20let%20me%20just%20say,%20the%20results%20are%20incredible!%20Flavor%20flavor%20flavor.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIdeas%20for%20Garnishes%20to%20follow%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20your%20oven%20to%20400'F%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPut%20the%20tomatoes,%20jalapeno,%20onions%20and%204%20whole%20garlic%20cloves%20on%20a%20cookie%20sheet.%20Drizzle%20them%20with%20olive%20oil%20and%20sprinkle%20with%20salt%20&%20pepper%20and%20about%201/4%20teaspoon%20of%20cumin.%20Roast%20in%20the%20oven%20for%20about%2020%20-%2030%20minutes...you%20want%20the%20veggies%20the%20have%20some%20of%20that%20%22I've%20been%20roasted%22%20color%20to%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20the%20oven%20and%20let%20cool%20for%20a%20few%20minutes.%20Slip%20the%20skins%20off%20of%20the%20tomatoes%20and%20put%20them%20in%20a%20small%20food%20processor%20and%20give%20it%20a%20little%20whirl.%20Set%20the%20tomatoes%20aside%20for%20now.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChop%20up%20the%20onions%20and%20jalapeno.%20If%20you're%20a%20not%20real%20good%20with%20a%20lot%20of%20heat%20(like%20me)%20then%20remove%20the%20seeds.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20the%20seeds%20from%20the%20chipotle%20pepper%20and%20chop%20up.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20a%20large,%20heavy%20bottom%20pot%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%20Add%20the%20vegetable%20oil.%20Throw%20in%20your%20onion%20and%20saute%20for%20a%20couple%20of%20minutes.%20Not%20much%20to%20do%20there%20since%20its%20cooked%20already%20but%20this%20will%20get%20some%20flavor%20in%20your%20pot%20started.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToss%20in%20your%20aromatics%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhich%20are%20the%20chipotle%20pepper,%20Mexican%20oregano%20(not%20in%20picture),%20jalapeno,%20roasted%20garlic%20and%20the%20remaining%202%20minced%20garlic%20cloves,%20chili%20powder,%20and%20cumin.%20Cook%20for%20about%203%20minutes,%20stirring%20often%20so%20as%20not%20to%20burn%20the%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDeglaze%20the%20pot%20with%20some%20of%20your%20chicken%20or%20turkey%20liquid,%20scrapping%20everything%20up...there%20shouldn't%20be%20much%20to%20deglaze.%20Pour%20in%20the%20remaining%20stock%20and%20add%20the%20tomatoes,%20lime%20juice,%20and%20tortilla%20strips.%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper%20to%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBring%20to%20a%20boil%20then%20lower%20the%20heat%20and%20simmer,%20uncovered%20for%20about%2030%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20have%20an%20emulsion%20blender....whip%20that%20baby%20out%20and%20go%20to%20town%20on%20the%20soup....puree%20it%20good.%20Adjust%20seasoning%20if%20necessary.%20Add%20the%20beans%20and%20corn%20and%20heat%20through.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow....take%20your%20sliced%20chicken%20and%20put%20it%20in%20the%20bottom%20of%20your%20bowl.%20Spoon%20the%20soup%20over%20the%20chicken,%20garnish%20with%20suggestions%20below,%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGarnishments:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow...while%20the%20soup%20is%20in%20it's%2030%20minute%20simmer%20mode.%20break%20out%20a%20good%20sized%20sauce%20pan%20and%20put%20a%20couple%20of%20cups%20of%20veggie%20oil%20and%20heat%20to%20about%20350'%20F%20(ummm...i%20just%20heated%20it%20up%20until%20it%20spit%20when%20I%20added%20a%20teeny%20tiny%20splash%20of%20water).%20Take%20about%208%20corn%20tortillas%20and%20cut%20them%20into%20strips.%20In%20batched,%20fry%20them%20up%20until%20golden%20brown%20and%20drain%20on%20a%20paper%20towel.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGuys%20Tequila%20Crema%20(YUM!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20together%203/4%20cups%20Mexican%20Crema,%202%20tablespoons%20silver%20tequila,%20zest%20from%20one%20lime%20and%20a%20dash%20of%20pepper.%20Drizzle%20this%20yummy%20stuff%20over%20your%20soup.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOf%20course%20there%20are%20the%20other%20necessities:%20cheese,%20tomatoes,%20avocados,%20cilantro...it's%20all%20good!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20I%20totally%20LOVE%20this%20soup!!%20Now%20I'm%20pissed%20that%20I've%20just%20now%20discovered%20Tortilla%20Soup!!!%20I%20served%20it%20to%20a%20bunch%20of%20people%20who%20were%20over%20for%20the%20Laker%20game.%20One%20of%20them%20(who%20is%20Mexican)%20said%20that%20he'd%20had%20Tortilla%20Soup%203%20times%20that%20week%20from%203%20different%20places%20and%20that%20this%20version%20was%20the%20best.%20It%20had%20a%20little%20heat%20but%20it%20cooled%20down%20quick%20enough%20to%20not%20make%20you%20worried.%20(or%20at%20least%20make%20ME%20worried.%20I%20don't%20like%20my%20breath%20to%20be%20taken%20away...and%20i%20don't%20want%20to%20be%20choking%20and%20sweating%20and%20my%20nose
