Receta Iced Ginger Green Tea Lemonade
My two favorite seasons are Summer and Fall. Although summer is ending I am looking forward to the Fall season.
And in keeping with my ginger obsession, as the last days of summer come to a close, I made a Iced Ginger Green Tea Lemonade.
To make the ginger syrup requires a bit of planning. You need at least 12 hours to let the ginger flavor blend into a syrup. You can still make this recipe, and purchase Ginger Syrup, such as Torani brand if you like. World Market sells it and you can always get it on-line too.

- cut up two ounces of ginger and chop in a food processor
Add the sugar and water to a pot and boil.
Add the ginger and let steep about 20 minutes on medium low until the sugar is dissolved.
Refrigerate about 12 hours.
Take the ginger syrup and put it through a sieve to remove the chopped ginger.
GREEN TEA LEMONADE
Boil 3½ cups of water add the tea bags and let steep 5 minutes.
Stir in the lemon juice and pomegranate juice. Stir. Let sit 12 hours in the refrigerator.
Add ½ cup of the ginger syrup and 4 cups cold water. (or enough ice to equal 4 cups of water)
Serve over ice with a lemon slice, or a handful of muddled mint.

Now I don’t know if I will ever want an Arnold Palmer again. And if I can drink this at any restaurant, I definitely would. Now that I know how great it tastes I wish I had made more ginger syrup.
Maybe someday, I can sit down with a glass of this Iced Ginger Green Tea Lemonade with my friend Marlys of This and That.
Soak up the last rays of summer. Relax with this incredible beverage. And for anyone who wants to booze it up, I am sure you can add vodka, tequila, or even gin. I am sure it would be a hit.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
