Iced Herb Tea With Geranium Leaves

Ingredientes

  • 1 heaping teaspoon each of dry herbs: lemon balm, orange mint, apple mint,
  • peppermint
  • 1/2 teaspoon chamomile flowers
  • 1/2 teaspoon comfrey leaves and stems
  • 1 teaspoon honey per c.
  • Ice cubes
  • Sprigs of fresh mints if available
  • Geranium leaves (scented) 1 per c.
  • 5 c. water, boiling

Direcciones

  1. Using stainless steel pan, bring water to boil, add in herbs and return to boil, stirring twice while waiting boiling point. Remove from heat. Add in honey(1 tsp per cup). Cover and steep 20 to 30 min. This makes double strength tea. (With additional of ice cubes, it will be sufficiently diluted). Strain into glass jug. Sprigs of fresh mints may be added at this time or possibly add in 1 geranium leaf per cup. Chill till ready to serve. Pour over ice in punch bowl and add in fresh sprigs or possibly leaves in cups or possibly in bowl.
