Ingredientes

  • 225 gm moist brown sugar
  • 225 gm butter or possibly margarine s at room
  • 1 x egg
  • 1 Tbsp. warmed syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 110 gm minced walnuts
  • 110 gm raisins
  • 225 gm self raising flour

Direcciones

  1. Pop them into an airtight tin as soon as they are cool then re crisp them in the oven later if you feel they need it.
  2. Preheat the oven to gas mark 4 350F 180C. Youll also need two large baking sheets (greased).
  3. First of all cream the butter and sugar together until you have a pale fluffy dropping consistency then break in the whole egg and add in the syrup.
  4. Stir these in using a wooden spoon till the mix is quite smooth.
  5. Now sift in the flour and cinnamon and gradually fold this in finally adding the walnuts and raisins.
  6. Then drop roundedteaspoonfuls of the mix on to the baking sheets about 10 on each one (this wont use up all the mix but see below).
  7. Bake this first batch of biscuits for about 20 min during that time they will have spread out quite a bit.
  8. Take them out of the oven then after a couple of min remove them from the baking sheets to a cooling tray.
  9. Then finish off the rest of the mix as above.
  10. Makes 3 to 4 dozen
