Ingredientes

  • 2 c. self-rising cornmeal
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (20 ounce) canned cream style corn
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. bacon drippings
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • 3 to 4 minced jalapeno peppers
  • 1/2 pound grated Cheddar cheese

Direcciones

  1. Put together all ingredients, except cheese and mix well. Pour half the batter into well-greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the top. Add in balance of batter and sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 min till done. Bread will be real moist. When cool, cut into 2-inch squares.
