Indian Spiced Beef Koftas

Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. chopped ginger, root
  • 2 clv garlic, chopped
  • 1 x jalapeno pepper, seeded, and, chopped or possibly 1 warm green chili pepper, seeded, and, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 x egg, yolk
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp grnd coriander
  • 1 lb lean grnd beef

Direcciones

  1. In large bowl, stir together ginger, garlic, jalapeno, oil, egg yolk, cornstarch, salt, turmeric and coriander; fold in beef till blended.
  2. Divide into 8 portions; shape each into ball.
  3. Thread 2 balls onto each of 4 metal or possibly soaked wooden skewers; squeeze each into 3-inch (8 cm) sausage shape.
  4. Place skewers on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and cook, turning skewers once, for about 15 min or possibly till koftas are lightly browned and no longer pink inside.
