%20so%20I%20was%20sure%20to%20have%20something%20healthy%20to%20start%20my%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EQuaker%20Instant%20Oats%20Express%20in%20Baked%20Apple.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20was%20actually%20seriously%20delicious.%20%20I%20tend%20to%20avoid%20instant%20oats%20unless%20I%E2%80%99m%20traveling%20because%20of%20the%20added%20sugar%20but%20this%20ended%20up%20being%20a%20really%20nice%20treat.%20%20And%20the%20fiber/protein%20content%20led%20to%20enough%20fullness%20that%20it%20was%20almost%20a%20trade-off%20for%20the%20sugar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUnfortunately%20I%20just%20can%E2%80%99t%20jive%20with%20the%20waste%20of%20packaging%20or%20I%20would%20make%20this%20a%20regular%20thing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELunch%20was%20a%206inch%20turkey%20sandwich%20from%20Subway.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETopped%20with%20pepperjack,%20lettuce,%20tomato,%20green%20pepper,%20banana%20pepper,%20red%20onion,%20pickles,%20cucumbers,%20and%20honey%20mustard.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20worker%20was%20annoyed%20that%20I%20packed%20so%20much%20on%20but%20my%20sandwich%20ended%20up%20being%20tasty%20and%20filling.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20ate%20part%20of%20a%20small%20bag%20of%20Cheetos%20with%20my%20sandwich.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20only%20ate%20half,%20because%20I%20realized%20that%20with%20Cheetos%20the%20enjoyment-to-unhealthiness%20ratio%20quickly%20shifts%20from%20left%20to%20right.%20%20I%E2%80%99m%20never%20going%20to%20stop%20eating%20crap%20completely,%20but%20I%E2%80%99m%20really%20trying%20to%20make%20an%20effort%20to%20regularly%20check-in%20with%20myself%20about%20whether%20or%20not%20the%20treat%20is%20worth%20it.%20%20I%20think%20it%E2%80%99s%20(more%20than)%20ok%20to%20occasionally%20eat%20things%20with%20no%20health%20benefit,%20but%20it%20only%20makes%20sense%20if%20there%20is%20a%20happiness%20benefit.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20the%20way%20to%20the%20mall%20I%20sucked%20on%20a%20blow%20pop.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhy%20were%20we%20at%20the%20mall%20you%20ask?%20%20Black%20light%20mini%20golf,%20duh!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20managed%20to%20squeeze%2018%20holes%20into%20the%20course.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20a%20dorky%20child-of-the-80%E2%80%99s%20obsession%20with%20black%20lights%20and%20the%20aquatic%20theme%20was%20pretty%20tacky-fabulous.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20we%20worked%20up%20a%20sweat,%20of%20sorts,%20we%20headed%20to%20dinner.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20in-laws%E2%80%99%20pick%20was%20Cici%E2%80%99s%20Pizza,%20which%20was%20a%20new%20experience%20for%20the%20husband%20and%20I.%20%20I%20was%20excited%20about%20the%20buffet%20aspect%20(I%20loooove%20choices%20and%20small%20tastes)%20but%20pretty%20disappointed%20in%20the%20lack%20of%20veggies.%20%20I%20genuinely%20don%E2%80%99t%20understand%20only%20offering%20iceberg%20lettuce%20at%20a%20salad%20bar!%20%20I%20will%20admit%20that%20I%20was%20pleased%20to%20see%20everything%20small-sized;%20the%20pizza%20pieces%20were%20tiny%20so%20you%20could%20try%20a%20bunch%20without%20eating%20too%20much.%20%20I%20was%20super%20hungry%20but%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20want%20to%20go%20crazy%20so%20I%20decided%20to%20do%20two%20runs%20of%20healthy%20food%20first.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESmall%20plate%20of%20salad.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESmall%20bowl%20of%20chicken%20soup.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20I%20filled%20up%20a%20bit%20on%20soup%20and%20salad,%20then%20I%20got%20pizza.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESadly%20I%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20really%20in%20love%20with%20either%20of%20these,%20the%20crust%20was%20pretty%20soggy%20and%20disappointing.%20%20I%20ended%20up%20picking%20at%202/3s%20or%20so%20before%20moving%20to%20dessert.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDessert,%20however,%20was%20pretty%20darn%20good.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20skipped%20the%20soggy%20crust%20but%20I%20loved%20eating%20the%20strusel%20topping%20and%20the%20cinnamon%20roll%20was%20great,%20super%20duper%20cinnamon-y.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUnfortunately%20I%20did%20too%20good%20of%20a%20job%20not%20overeating;%20I%20ended%20up%20not%20eating%20enough!%20%20When%20I%20got%20home%20I%20broke%20out%20a%20Fruit%20and%20Nut%20KIND%20bar%20from%20my%20from-home-snack%20stash.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHoly%20yum!%20%20KIND%20bars%20are%20always%20good%20but%20this%20flavor%20was%20socks%20rocking%20delicious;%20I%20love%20that%20the%20use%20apricot%20in%20addition%20to%20dates%20for%20stickiness.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20will%20most%20likely%20be%20some%20snacking%20tonight,%20I%E2%80%99ll%20recap%20in%20the%20morning.%20%20Hope%20everyone%20else%20is%20having%20a%20great%20weekend!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVeggies%20eaten%20today:%20~2cups%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20is%20your%20thought%20on%20%E2%80%9Ctreats%E2%80%9D%20(candy,%20cookies,%20chips,%20extra%20cheese,%20or%20whatever%20your%20preference%20is)?%20%20Should%20you%20cut%20them%20out%20completely,%20enjoy%20in%20moderation,%20or%20go%20hog-wild?%20%20What%20works,%20or%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20work,%20for%20you?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
