Ingredientes

  • 5 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 6 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Anisette liqueur
  • 6 lrg Large eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 lb Butter or possibly margarine
  • 3 c. Raisins
  • 1 lb Figs
  • 1/2 c. Brown sugar
  • 1 c. Walnuts
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. Water

Direcciones

  1. Dough: Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking pwdr in large bowl. Cut in butter till it resembles coarse meal. Make a well, add in Large eggs and vanilla.
  2. Mix with wooden spoon till mix leaves side of bowl.
  3. Filling: Chop or possibly grind fruit and nuts. Add in cinnamon, brown sugar, and water. Cook over low heat till fruit is soft and filling has thickened.
  4. Set aside, cold. Roll dough thin, cut in 2" circles with cookie cutter. Put 1 Tablespoons of filling in center, fold and seal edges. Bake in 375 degree oven till golden.
