I have an eldery italian client who talks about all the old dishes her family made, and she told her her favorite was when her Uncle showed up with a greasy brown paper bag. She knew it meant he brought her pizza freetz (as she pronounced it).1 reply
She said he made them sweet with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar and sometimes with olive oil, garlic and parmesan. I have wanted to make them and surprise her with a taste of her childhood and now I can! Thank you for sharing this recipe
