Ingredientes

  • 12 ounce bread crumbs
  • 1 quart lowfat milk
  • 1 lb grnd beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
  • 1 lb yellow onion diced
  • 1 lb button mushrooms diced
  • 10 x fresh sage leaves - (to 12)
  • 6 1/2 ounce ketchup
  • 4 x Large eggs

Direcciones

  1. Mix the bread crumbs and lowfat milk and chill for 20 min.
  2. In a mixer, place the remaining ingredients and mix at low speed for four min. Add in bread-crumb mix to the meat mix and mix for four more min.
  3. Place mix into one large greased loaf pan or possibly two smaller pans. Lightly tap the full pans to allow air to escape. Cover the meatloaf tightly with plastic film and then with foil. (The foil will protect the film from melting.) Poke holes in covering to vent steam.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Internal temperature should reach 165 degrees. Before serving, cover meatloaf with your favorite cheese and on a cookie sheet, heat cheese under the broiler. Serve with your favorite gravy, garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables.
