Italian Tomato Bruschetta

Ingredientes

  • 8 x 1/2-inch-thick slices French bread Extra-virgin extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 x Garlic cloves halved Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 lrg Tomatoes, Sliced 1/3inch
  • 8 x Fresh basil or possibly Italian parsley springs

Direcciones

  1. Preheat broiler. Place bread slices on cookie sheet and broil till lightly brown on both sides. Brush one side with oil, rub with garlic.
  2. Sprinkle with salt/pepper. (Can be prepared 4 hrs ahead. Let bread slices stand at room temperature.)
  3. Place tomato slice atop each bread slice. Brush with oil, sprinkle with salt/pepper. Broil till heated through. Top with basil or possibly parsley and serve.
