Jack Daniel's Chocolate Ice Cream

Ingredientes

  • 7 lrg Egg Yolks
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 c. Heavy Cream
  • 2 c. Cool Lowfat milk
  • 1 x Vanilla Bean, split
  • 6 ounce Chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. Jack Daniel's Whiskey

Direcciones

  1. Combine egg yolks and sugar in small bowl till smooth and lemon colored.
  2. Place cream, lowfat milk and vanilla bean in small saucepan over medium heat and bring to boil. Immediately remove from heat and cold slightly. Remove vanilla bean and add in a small amount of cream to the yolks, stirring briskly. Slowly add in yolks to remianing cream, stirring constantly. Strain through cheesecloth or possibly a fine sieve. Heat chocolate over warm water in the top half of a double boiler or possibly in the microwave. Stir into cream mix and strain once more. Stir in whiskey and chill. When well chilled, pour into an ice cream maker.
  3. Makes about 1 1/2 qts.
