Jaiba Al Horno (Baked Crab)

Ingredientes

  • 50 gm Butter or possibly margarine, (2oz)
  • 1 med Size onion, minced finely
  • 5 sprg fresh parsley, minced finely
  • 175 gm White crab meat, fresh, canned or possibly frzn (6oz)
  • 2 dsh Tabasco sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 x Chicken stock cube A healthy pinch of grnd black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. Tomato puree
  • 2 Tbsp. Fine breadcrumbs
  • 4 slc Lemon

Direcciones

  1. Heat the oven to 180 C, 350 F, Gas Mark 4.
  2. Heat the butter or possibly margarine in a heavy-based frying pan and saute/fry the onion and parsley for 2 min.
  3. Drain the crab meat well and add in it to the pan, along with the all the other ingredients except for the breadcrumbs and lemon. Fry over a moderate heat, stirring frequently, till the mix starts to become dry.
  4. Spoon on to well-buttered scallop or possibly crab shells and bake in the oven.
  5. After 15 min sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top and return to the oven; when the breadcrumbs are lightly browned it is ready.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with the lemon slices.
