.%20%20The%20meals%20are%20designed%20so%20that%20if%20you%20work%20quickly%20and%20stay%20on%20task,%20you%20should%20be%20able%20to%20make%20a%20main%20dish,%20side%20dish,%20and%20dessert%20in%2030%20minutes.%20%20The%20first%20meal%20I%20tried%20was%20not%20what%20I%20would%20call%20a%20success....%20it%20was%20Mushroom%20Risotto%20with%20a%20side%20salad%20and%20a%20Lemon%20Raspberry%20cheesecake.%20%20I%20skipped%20out%20on%20the%20dessert%20(because%20we%20had%20so%20many%20Christmas%20treats%20still%20lingering%20around%20the%20house),%20so%20I%20just%20made%20the%20risotto%20and%20salad.%20%20It%20took%20at%20least%2045%20minutes,%20and%20the%20risotto%20was%20not%20as%20wonderful%20as%20I%20had%20hoped%20it%20would%20be%20(although%20my%20husband%20swears%20it%20was%20delicious.)%20%20I%20think%20if%20I%20read%20the%20directions%20more%20carefully%20next%20time%20and%20do%20more%20of%20the%20prep%20work%20ahead%20of%20time%20(instead%20of%20in%20between%20steps,%20like%20Jamie%20does),%20it%20will%20be%20much%20quicker%20and%20less%20chaotic.%20%20(Perhaps%20making%20risotto,%20which%20requires%20almost%20constant%20attention,%20wasn't%20the%20best%20meal%20to%20start%20out%20with!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyway,%20on%20his%20Food%20Network%20show%20this%20weekend,%20I%20saw%20him%20prepare%20one%20of%20the%20meals%20that%20is%20in%20the%20new%20cookbook.%20%20It%20was%20helpful%20to%20see%20him%20go%20through%20the%20motions,%20so%20I%20decided%20to%20give%20it%20a%20whirl.%20%20The%20recipe%20is%20for%20Piri%20Piri%20Chicken,%20a%20side%20salad,%20and%20Portuguese%20tarts%20for%20dessert.%20%20Turns%20out%20we%20are%20having%20friends%20over%20for%20supper%20tonight%20and%20I%20didn't%20feel%20like%20experimenting%20with%20a%20new%20main%20dish%20recipe%20when%20guests%20are%20here,%20so%20I%20just%20made%20the%20tarts%20for%20dessert%20and%20we're%20ordering%20pizza%20for%20supper!%20%20Tomorrow%20night%20I%20will%20tackle%20the%20Piri%20Piri%20Chicken%20and%20salad.%20%20Here's%20the%20tart%20recipe%20though,%20which%20is%20super%20easy%20to%20make!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPORTUGUESE%20TARTS%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESprinkle%20puff%20pastry%20with%20cinnamon,%20then%20roll%20up%20like%20a%20jelly%20roll.%20%20Cut%20into%208%20equal%20pieces%20(Jamie%20only%20made%206,%20but%20I%20had%20enough%20for%208.)%20%20Turn%20them%20on%20their%20side%20(so%20you%20can%20see%20the%20pinwheel%20design)%20and%20squash%20them%20down.%20%20Use%20a%20rolling%20pin%20to%20flatten%20them%20out%20and%20then%20lay%20them%20in%20a%20muffin%20a%20tin%20so%20that%20they%20make%20tart%20shells.%20%20Bake%20at%20400%20F%20for%208-10%20minutes.%20%20Remove%20from%20oven%20and%20use%20a%20spoon%20to%20push%20the%20dough%20up%20against%20the%20sides%20of%20the%20muffin%20tin%20so%20that%20you%20create%20a%20space%20for%20the%20custard.%20%20To%20make%20the%20custard,%20whisk%20together%20whipping%20cream,%20egg,%201%20tbsp.%20sugar,%20vanilla,%20and%20orange%20zest.%20%20Fill%20the%20tart%20shells%20and%20put%20them%20back%20in%20the%20oven%20for%208-10%20minutes.%20%20They%20should%20still%20be%20jiggly%20when%20they%20come%20out.%20%20While%20they%20are%20baking,%20heat%201/4%20c.%20sugar%20and%20the%20orange%20juice%20in%20a%20saucepan%20over%20high%20heat%20to%20make%20a%20caramel%20(the%20sugar%20will%20boil%20and%20eventually%20turn%20a%20golden%20brown).%20%20Pour%20caramel%20sauce%20over%20the%20tarts%20and%20let%20them%20set.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMmmm....%20kind%20of%20like%20a%20cinnamon%20bun%20and%20a%20cr%C3%A8me%20br%C3%BBl%C3%A9e%20in%20one%20little%20bite!I%20wasn't%20sure%20how%20these%20would%20taste,%20so%20I%20had%20to%20sample%20one%20before%20our%20guests%20get%20here.%20%20Umm,%20they%20are%20delicious!%20%20Wish%20I%20would%20have%20doubled%20the%20batch!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
