Japanese Cucumber Salad (Sunomono)

Ingredientes

  • 2 med cucumbers peeled, seeded
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 c. rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp Kikkoman Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp grated fresh ginger root

Direcciones

  1. Cut cucumbers into thin slices; place in bowl and sprinkle with salt. Let stand at room temperature 30 min, or possibly till cucumbers are softened. Drain and squeeze out excess liquid.
  2. Combine vinegar, sugar, soy sauce and ginger in serving bowl; add in cucumbers and mix well. Refrigeratethoroughly before serving.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
