Ingredientes

  • Zwieback Crust (recipe below)
  • 2 env unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 c. Kahlua
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 x Large eggs separated
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 x (8 ounce.) pkgs. cream cheese
  • 1 c. whipping cream Shaved or possibly curled semi-sweet chocolate

Direcciones

  1. Prepare Zwieback Crust. In top of double boiler, soften gelatin in Kahlua and water. Beat in egg yolks, sugar and salt. Cook over boiling water stirring constantly, till slightly thickened. Beat cheese till fluffy. Gradually beat in Kahlua mix; cold. Beat egg whites till stiff but not dry. Beat cream stiff. Fold egg whites and cream into cheese mix. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate4 to 5 hrs, or possibly overnight. Remove from refrigerator 15 min before serving.
  2. Decorate with shaved or possibly curled chocolate.
  3. Makes 12 servings. (To addflavor, spoon a little Kahlua over each serving).
  4. Zwieback Crust:Blend 1 1/2 c. fine Zwieback crumbs, and 1/3 c. each sugar and melted butter together. Press firmly over bottom and halfway up sides of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees F.) 8 to 10 min. Cold.
