Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
  • 4 lrg Large eggs separated
  • 3/4 c. sugar measure into 1/4 and
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 c. kahlua cream
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. confectioner's sugar

Direcciones

  1. CRUST: Combine crust ingredients in food processor. Press into bottom and sides of 10" pie plate. Freeze while making filling.
  2. FILLING: In double boiler, stir gelatin with 1/2 c. sugar till well mixed. In small bowl, beat egg yolk with cream, add in this and Kahlua to gelatin mix. Cook over medium-low heat till mix thickens and coats back of spoon; remove from heat. In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat egg whites till soft peaks form. While beating at high speed, gradually sprinkle in remaining 1/4 c. sugar. Beat till sugar is dissolved. Gently fold egg whites into Kahlua mix. Spoon into pie crust. Chill till set (approximately 6 hrs).
  3. SWEETENED WHIPPED CREAM: Freeze beaters and bowl for half hour. Whip ingredients together till it holds a shape. Prior to serving, pipe rosettes around edge of pie.
