Ingredientes

  • 1 med Head of cabbage
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 3 x Or possibly 4 green apples
  • 2 x Tomatoes (optional)
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter or possibly..
  • 3 slc Crisp bacon
  • 2 x Sliced onions

Direcciones

  1. Shred cabbage. Cover cabbage and onion with boiling water. Let stand 10 min. Place butter or possibly broken bacon slices in the bottom of a kettle. Add in liquid removed cabbage with onion, apples and tomatoes. Remove seeds from tomatoes first. Seed will give a bitter taste to the cabbage. Add in sugar and simmer till tender, about 20 min. Salt while cooking.
