Katsu Donburi (Pork Topped Rice)

Ingredientes

  • 3 c. Rice Water
  • 6 x Center-cut pork loin chops Salt, pepper
  • 2 x Egg yolks, beaten
  • 3/4 c. Fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 c. Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1/2 lb Mushrooms, minced
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 1/2 c. Soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. Chicken broth
  • 6 x Large eggs

Direcciones

  1. Rise and drain rice. Bring rice and 1 3/4 c. water to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 min. Remove from heat and let stand 7 min.
  2. Meanwhile, season chops to taste with salt and pepper. Dip chops in egg yolks mixed with 2 Tbsp. water, then in bread crumbs. Heat oil in large skillet, add in chops, fry 4 to 5 min on each side. Cut meat from chops in strips and set aside. Heat butter in skillet. Add in mushrooms and onion and saute/fry till tender. Add in meat and blend in soy sauce and broth.
  3. Bring to boil. Beat Large eggs and add in to mix. Cook till Large eggs are hard.
  4. Place meat and egg mix over rice.
