Ingredientes

  • 3/8 c. Lime juice
  • 3 Tbsp. - Water warm
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. - Water
  • 1 x Lime or possibly lemon rind grated
  • 1 x Large eggs
  • 1 x Pie shell 9 inch

  1. Beat the egg yolks, add in the lime juice, grated rind, warm water, salt and 1/2 c. of sugar.Cook this mix in a double boiler till it thickens. Add in 1/2 c. of the sugar(or possibly what is remainder) to the stiffly beaten egg whites. Fold into the cooked mix and spoon into the pie shell. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 min. This pie can be garnished with whipping cream. Because of the danger of uncooked egg yolks this recipe is often as alternative to the older versions. Especially in the United States it is recommended which uncooked egg yolks shouldn't be used under any circumstances.
